Meet Our Teachers
Ms. Hartman, 5th - 8th Grades
Hello! I am Rahel Hartman. I grew up with my family in China and Mongolia where my parents taught English. I spent my college years at Andrews University in Michigan and as a student missionary in Honduras.
I am passionate about working with children and making learning fun. My goal is to be a positive influence on my students' lives and to show them that they are truly loved and needed. Ultimately, I want to show how a relationship with God is practical and life-changing.
I love bright colors, ice cream, and most of all spending time with people. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, running, and painting. I am excited to teach at Hillcrest and can't wait to get to know you better.
Mrs. Coto, 1st - 4th Grades
Hello Hillcrest families! I grew up here in the peaceful North Dakota countryside on my family's farm and ranch. I'm thrilled that God has brought me back to this beautiful state after college and three years of teaching in Nebraska.
Because children are such a precious gift from God, I consider teaching a privilege. I love working with children of all ages and appreciate the opportunity to nurture young lives. My goal is to make my classroom a haven of love and learning while ever introducing my students to my best friend, Jesus.
When I'm not in my classroom, you might find me out for a run, enjoying sports, photography, and a variety of my favorite arts and crafts. I'm thrilled to become part of the Hillcrest family and look forward to getting to know each of you better.
Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Peter Simpson
Pastor Peter, the pastor for the Jamestown SDA Church district, originally hails from South Africa, and came to our school with a long history of involvement with denominational schools. He has worked as Academy Chaplain for the Sedaven High School back in the day, as well as at Mount Vernon Academy in Ohio. He comes to our school weekly to conduct a joint worship for our kids and will also be involved in Bible Studies, preparing our students to know Jesus better.
