Meet Our Teachers
Mrs. Trudy Smith
5th - 8th Grades, Head Teacher
“I already know the plans I have for you. I will help you, not hurt you …I will bring you back to your own land…” said the Lord. (Jeremiah 29:11, 14)
My husband and I are certain that the Lord has fulfilled this scripture promise as we find ourselves back in our home state of North Dakota. The way things fell into place assured us that it was His plan for us to return, and we are grateful for His provision. We have been enjoying reconnecting with family and friends and also rediscovering the friendly, welcoming atmosphere of small-town living as we settle into our new home in Edgeley. I am looking forward to building new relationships at school and the church in Jamestown. And for my students, my special mission is to reassure them of the unconditional love that Jesus has for them. That was not part of my understanding of God until I was an adult, thus I want to be sure that every student knows and understands “God is love” means no matter what happens in their lives, God will always be with them and for them. Ever since I can recall, being outside roaming around in nature, finding creatures to spy on in the wild, discovering wildflowers, and collecting pets to love, have been passions of mine that I will never tire of and will continue to share with my students to inspire them with a love of God’s creation too. |

Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Nate Skaife
Pastor Nate was born and raised in southern Wisconsin. Before he heard God's call to full-time ministry, he worked as a custom home builder. After completing his bachelor's degree in Theology from Andrews University in 2011, he accepted a position in full-time ministry in Milwaukee, WI. While pastoring, he continued his education, completing a Master's Degree in Pastoral Ministry. He served multiple churches in the Milwaukee area and Grand Junction, Colorado before the Lord opened the opportunity for him to move to North Dakota to serve as the pastor of the Jamestown Seventh-day Adventist Church in the summer of 2023. Outside of enjoying life with his wife, Rachel, and their two daughters, Nate's interests include scuba diving, hiking, fishing, and other outdoor pursuits.
